Hi Judith,

Thanks for your comments. Some clarifications. Presently CO2 emissions from burning coal are far too big to be fully sequestered by plant growth. This is one important aspect of the Climate Emergency… Building skyscrapers is not a very good idea in the current global context even using bamboo. Yes, burning fuels releases low grade heat; however, globally this remains marginal compared with warming dure to greenhouse gases. As for the Loire valley I cross it every few months and I can assure you it is NOT a “swamp of dead waters”. I see herons on its banks feeding on fish in the river… It’s difficult; it’s challenging; however we must all ensure that we do stay within the confine of science.
